TBILISI, Aug. 28 – Sony corporation has given up the idea of building a shipping terminal in Poti port for further transit of its produce to Transcaucasia and the Middle East, the company's representative in Georgia Iosif Kokoladze told Interfax.
"I received a call from Geneva, from Sony Europe's office, and was told that the corporation had reconsidered its plans and decided to construct a shipping terminal in Ukraine," he said, adding that Sony's decision not to construct a $25 million terminal in Georgia was prompted by illegal actions by Georgia's Ministry for Economic Development with regard to Sony's distributor, Lazari-2 Ltd.
