KIEV, Aug. 28 – The management system in the coal sector is inefficient, President Viktor Yushchenko told the press in Novovolynsk in Volyn region.

He said that, unfortunately, new mines rarely open in Ukraine and coal extraction is falling.

He said that there is no extensive technical upgrade of the sector.

"Unfortunately, the allocated funds are used inefficiently – this is a key problem, according to which all management systems and the ministry were given a low estimation," the president said.
