KIEV, Aug. 27 – The deficit of the draft 2008 state budget should be cut to the minimum, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko told foreign diplomats in Kiev on Monday.

"While drafting the next year budget, I strongly demand the minimization of the national budget deficit – to substitute assets borrowed on the domestic and foreign markets with resources received from a rational fiscal policy," the president said.
