KIEV, Aug. 20 – The government that will be formed after the Sept. 30 election will pursue a balanced policy and will be forced to take into account the opinions of a powerful opposition, President Viktor Yushchenko said Monday.

Opinion polls show that pro-government and opposition parties enjoy similar levels of support, which means extensive talks will be needed to agree main policy initiatives, he said.
