Ukraine’s second-largest oil refinery forced to close after outage

KIEV, Aug. 14 - Ukraine’s second-largest oil refinery, Linos, owned by Russian oil major TNK-BP, was forced to shut down its operation on Tuesday after an unexpected power outage hit the facility, the company reported.

Linos, based in the Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine, was shut early morning after a local power distributor registered a power outage affecting the line supplying electricity to the refinery, the company said.
