KIEV, Aug. 13 – It is necessary to prolong existing restrictions on grain exports, which expire Oct. 1, past their expiration date and until the end of the 2007/2008 marketing year, which runs through June, said the Ukrainian associations of meat and bread producers and Ukrspyrt, Ukraine's state alcohol industry concern.
"Today I'm absolutely sure that grain exports cannot be permitted under any circumstances. If exports are permitted, the grain would disappear," the president of the Ukrainian Association of bakeries, Volodymyr Slabovsky, said.
