KIEV, Aug. 10 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny posted a UAH300.6-milllion net profit in the second quarter of 2007 compared to UAH 1.064 million posted in the first quarter.

As Interfax-Ukraine learnt from Naftogaz Ukrayiny on Friday, the company's gross revenues in the second quarter traditionally decreased to UAH4.309 billion from UAH 7.370 billion in the first quarter due to the completion of the heating season.

On the whole, in the first half of 2007, the company's gross revenues totaled UAH 11.679 billion, which was 22.7% down on the first half of 2006, which is explained by the transfer of functions of selling gas to industrial consumers to UkrGaz-Energo whose 50% stockholding belongs to Naftogaz.
