KIEV, Aug. 9 - Ukraine seeks a new agreement with the European Union that would allow its companies to boost exports of steel to the EU by 65% year-on-year in 2008, a spokesman for the industrial policy ministry said Thursday.
Ukraine seeks to negotiate a quota of up to 2.17 million metric tons for steel exports to the EU in 2008, up from 1.32 million mt in 2007, the spokesman said.
