KIEV, Aug. 7 – The National Security and Defense Council at a meeting scheduled for September is to discuss the further development of the nuclear industrial sector, including problems of nuclear and radiation security, the presidential press service reported on Monday.

Deputy NSDC Secretary Yuriy Prodan said at a briefing in Kiev that the reorganization of the nuclear industrial sector being conducted by the government could lead to the privatization of strategically important objects – operating Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
