KIEV, Aug. 3 – Ukraine is interested in close cooperation with Slovakia in issues of energy security, Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych said during a telephone conversation with his Slovakian counterpart Robert Fiko, the cabinet reported.

According to the report, the objectives are diversifying energy supplies to Ukraine and the European Union, and Ukraine's joining the EU strategy as to biofuel use.
