KIEV, Aug. 1 - The conflict between Ukrainian and Tatarstan shareholders in UkrTatNafta over a disputed 18.296% stake will not influence relations between Ukraine and Russia, Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko believes.
"I do knot know who [Russian deputy Viktor] Ilyukhin is. If the conflict concerns 18% of UkrTatNafta, it is in no way related to the position of Tatarstan as a region of the Russian Federation, but it is related to entities affiliated to Tatneft management. That is, there is no conflict between the two states," Boiko said at a press conference in Kiev on Wednesday.
