KIEV, July 31 – The matching of the Ukrainian and European power girds, which would allow a significant increase in exports of Ukrainian electricity to European countries, will take at least 10 years, according to Deputy Fuel and Energy Minister Oleksiy Sheberstov.
"There were statements that we could integrate into the UCTE in three years... Firstly, we'll study our power grid for three years. This process is going on, and we'll work in parallel for at least 10 years," he said in an interview with the Ekonomicheskiye Izvestiya newspaper published on Monday.
