KIEV, July 27 - Ukraine will not receive a $500 million loan from the World Bank as part of the second loan for political development project this year owing to the dissolution of Parliament, Economics Minister Anatoliy Kinakh said at a ministry meeting on Friday.
"If you realistically evaluate the situation, I mean the lost time, then we won't get [the loan resources] this year," he said.
The terms for raising this loan envision the approval of certain legislative acts, however the parliament was not able to approve them before it was dissolved, Kinakh said. This is why Ukraine will not be able to get this loan this year, even if a new parliament approves these legislative acts after early elections, he said.
