Ukraine’s petrochemical co gets green light to build $200 mln plant

KIEV, July 25 - Ukraine’s biggest petrochemical company, KarpatNaftoKhim, received a green light from Kalush city council to start construction of a new polyvinyl-chloride (PVC) production facility, the company’s press service said.

The new 300,000 metric tons/year PVC facility, worth about $200 million, would be the first in Ukraine and the most advanced such facility in Eastern Europe, KarpatNaftoKhim said.
