KIEV, July 24 – A consensus forecast of experts polled by the Economy Ministry reports an improved economic outlook: in July, with the average 2007 GDP growth forecast at 6.9%, up from 6.5% in March.

"The situation in the first half of the year brought to an improvement of experts' expectations for 2007," reads a posting on the official Web site of the Economy Ministry.

According to experts, GDP growth in Ukraine in 2008 could slow to 6.4% - the forecast remained unchanged in July compared to March.
