KIEV, July 20 - A central nuclear waste storage facility in Ukraine for three out of four of the country's nuclear power plants is being built ahead of schedule, according to Andriy Derkach, president of the national nuclear generating company EnergoAtom.
"Work with the Holtec Company is going in line with schedule and even faster, we have provided additional financing for some work, although our position remains that it's necessary to conduct international checks of the project," he said at a press conference devoted to the results of the company's activities in the first half of 2007 in Kiev on Thursday.
