KIEV, July 18 - Lithuania's Klaipedos Nafta, the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) could become participants in the Ukrainian-Polish pipeline company Sarmatia by the time of the energy summit of heads of states scheduled for October in Vilnius (Lithuania), OSJC UkrTransNafta Board Chairman Ihor Kiriushin said in an interview with the Ekonomicheskiye Izvestiya newspaper.
He said that Azerbaijan has the economic role in the Sarmatia, while Georgia is the country on the territory of which Caspian oil would be transited to Black Sea. He did not disclose the functions of the Lithuanian company.
