KIEV, July 10 - Alfa Bank (Kiev) plans to hold a roadshow for a loan participation note issue of up to $1 billion in the UK and Switzerland, a bank spokesman told Interfax.

The bookrunner and lead manager of the issue is UBS Investment Bank. "Following the debut placement of three-year eurobonds in December 2006 (additional issue in January-February 2007) for a total about of $345 million, Alfa Bank is entering the market with a new deal. The LPN program is the first deal in Ukraine that will make it possible to consolidate separate issues of notes and is intended for an amount of up to $1 billion," the spokesman said.
