KIEV, July 3 – Ukraine may have one of its worst grain harvests over the past decade due to severe drought that had swept the country earlier this year, a top agriculture ministry official said Tuesday.
Ukraine may produce up to 28 million metric tons of grain in 2007, down from 38 million metric tons that had been earlier expected by the government, Yuriy Luzan, deputy agro-industrial complex minister, said.
