KIEV, June 26 - The Constitutional Court on Tuesday accepted an appeal from President Viktor Yushchenko challenging the government's resolution letting a controversial Russian-Ukrainian joint venture control natural gas distribution in the country.
Yushchenko on Monday suspended the resolution allowing Ukrgaz-Energo, the joint venture, to get exclusive rights for the supply and distribution of natural gas in Ukraine. The resolution will be suspended until the court rules on the matter.
