KIEV, June 15 - The production cost of biodiesel fuel made from rape in Ukraine is higher than oil-based diesel fuel, according to experts interviewed by Interfax-Ukraine during an Alternative Fuel and Energy Efficiency international conference in Kiev.

The head of Ukraine's National Agency on efficient energy resources usage said the production cost of 1 liter of bio-diesel in Ukraine is around $1.

"Today such a high price does not allow us to use this type of fuel in the country in large volumes," he said.
