KIEV, June 12 - Sales of household appliances in January through March 2007 in 45 cities of Ukraine with a population of over 100,000 residents each grew by 17% in volume and by almost 25% in value, to 709,000 items worth $208.6 million, according to a GFK Ukraine Company study.
"The biggest share of sales (34% in volume in each category) was reported for washing machines and refrigerators," reads a company announcement.
