KIEV, June 7 ??“ President Viktor Yushchenko urged the government to prevent the destabilization of the meat market caused by meat imports via free economic zones and priority development territories.

In a letter to the government, the president noted that he had addressed the government concerning this issue before, but there had not been an adequate reaction from the cabinet. The enterprises of the free economic zones and priority development territories of Donetsk region still continue to import meat without paying import duties and VAT, the letter reads.
