KIEV, May 31 ??“ The government has proposed the allocation of UAH150 million from the 2007 budget to compensate losses caused by drought to farmers and to form a guaranteed seed reserve, Agriculture Minister Yuriy Melnyk said at a cabinet briefing.

Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Slauta said that the cabinet proposed to allocate UAH100 million as drought aid to farms and UAH50 million to form the reserve.
