KIEV, May 27 ??“ Ukraine??™s special police forces, Berkut, were ordered out of the capital Kiev following an agreement between political leaders aimed at ending the standoff, the Internal Affairs Ministry reported.

Berkut, loyal to the pro-Russian government coalition, on Thursday clashed with security forces loyal to pro-Western President Viktor Yushchenko marking a serious escalation of the political crisis.
