YALTA, May 25 - The Council of CIS Heads of Governments elected Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych as its chairman for the next year, Finance Minister Mykola Azarov said following a meeting of the council in Yalta on Friday.

"Premier Viktor Yanukovych was elected chairman of the Council of CIS prime ministers during this summit," he said at a joint press conference of heads of delegations, which arrived for the summit.
