KIEV, May 24 ??“ The pro-Russian government coalition has been sending thousands of supporters from the Donetsk region for a rally in downtown Kiev on Friday, a government official said Thursday.

Some 50,000 of Regions Party supporters are due to show up at an Independence Square in downtown Kiev apparently for a show of support for the party, Internal Affairs Minister Vasyl Tsushko said.
