KIEV, May 22 ??“ Karavan Ltd., a major Ukrainian retailer, saw its net profit fall by 3.3 times in 2006, to UAH 1.688 million.

According to an official company report, its net income from sales grew by 24.6% in 2006, to UAH 355.196 million.

Its gross profit grew by 41.4%, to UAH 30.172 million, while its pre-tax profit dropped by 53.6%, to UAH 2.843 million.
