Yushchenko says minister must resign after Ukraine gas pipeline blast
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, May 8 - President Viktor Yushchenko said the recent blast at a major natural gas pipeline was result of professional neglect and called for resignation of the transportation minister after the accident.

The blast at the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod pipeline, which carries Russian gas exports to the European Union, forced Ukraine to re-rout gas supplies via other pipelines to make sure supplies continue without disruptions.
