KIEV, May 7 - Ukraine's steel industry, the backbone of the country??™s economy, increased finished roll output 10% year-on-year in January-April to 11.9 million metric tons, the Industrial Policy Ministry reported.

Ukraine produced 14.2 million metric tons of crude steel, up 11%, and 11.77 million tons of pig iron, up 14% year-on-year, the ministry said.
