KIEV, May 4 ??“ Ukraine??™s monetary base in Ukraine increased 3.3% to UAH 99.6 billion in April, while money supply rose 3.7% to UAH 282.7 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine said in a statement on its Web site.

"The National Bank of Ukraine's foreign currency purchases on the interbank market and, partly, a 2.2% decline in the government's funds in the national currency on the accounts at the NBU were conducive to the growing dynamics of the monetary indicators in April," the NBU said.
