KIEV, April 19 - The deficit in Ukraine's foreign trade in commodities in January and February 2007 has been estimated at $1.38 billion, whereas a year ago, in January and February 2006, Ukraine posted a foreign commodity trade deficit of $1.026 billion, the State Statistics Committee reported.
Over the two months, exports in January and February grew by 34.5% on January and February 2006, to $6.618 billion, while imports grew by 35.7% over the period under review, to $7.998 billion, the committee reported.
