LVIV, March 30 ??“ The Transport and Communications Ministry is to invest $65 million into the reconstruction of Lviv airport, Transport Minister Mykola Rudkovsky said during Thursday.

"We have seven strategic airports, which we plan to develop, and the one in Lviv is among them," transportation minister said.
According to him, the airport's runway will be reconstructed in 2008 and 2009. It will be lengthened by 700 meters, allowing it to service modern planes.

The cost of the project is around $25 million.

According to the minister, a new, $40 million terminal will be constructed in 2009-2010.
