BRUSSELS, March 7 - The European Commission on Wednesday announced a $647 million aid package for Ukraine over the next four years, substantially increasing annual assistance to the EU's eastern neighbor.

"We will support the country to continue with its reform efforts," said EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner, according to the Associated Press.
