KIEV, March 2 ??“ Most of Ukrainian food contains genetically modified ingredients, and there are no laws that should restrict their use in the country, Volodymyr Semenovich, the head of Ukrmetrteststandart's research center, said.
Semenovich said that according to the results of a research, the amount of genetically modified soy in the contents of 18 out of 42 randomly chosen foodstuffs exceeded 3%, while the contents of nine of the foodstuffs did not indicate that they contained soy protein.
