KIEV, March 1 - Ukraine plans to quadruple investments in domestic extraction of uranium ore within the next two years in order to increase reliance on nuclear power generation, a Ukrainian official said Thursday.
Ukraine will probably increase investments to $200 million annually within the next two years, up from $50 million that is supposed to be invested in 2007, Andriy Derkach, the head of EnergoAtom, Ukraine??™s nuclear power generator, said.
