KIEV, Feb. 15 ??“ UMC, Ukraine's second largest mobile phone company, launched a new cell phone brand, Ecotel, aimed at people seeking cheap phone services, in a bid to increase its client base.

"Today our new proposal, our new brand Ecotel, has been launched, which is aimed at people who know how to save, who appreciate low tariffs, yet [also want] good coverage and network performance," UMC's director general, Adam Wojacki, said during a press conference in Kiev on Thursday.
