Ukraine in January to September 2009 reduced carbon dioxide emissions from stationary sources by 20.5% year-on-year, to 105.23 million tons, according to the State Statistics Committee. Apart from carbon dioxide emissions, stationary sources emitted 2.9 million tons of pollutants into the atmosphere over the period, 19% less than in 2008.
