KIEV, Feb. 13 ??“ The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is asking Romanian officials not to make statements that could hinder the settlement of the issue on the status of Zmiiny Island, Acting Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday.

As reported, the Ukrainian parliament passed a resolution naming the settlement on the island Bile township on February 8. Romania asked Ukraine, in turn, to be patient in the island issue.
