KIEV, Feb. 13 - Ukraine??™s maritime border might get as close as 30 kilometers, and in some portions even 18 kilometers, off the Romanian seashore, in case Ukraine wins in the International Court of Justice in The Hague and proves that Serpents Island, a Ukrainian territory, is inhabitable.

In turn this would allow Serpents Island to have a continental plateau 20-kilometer long, Cristian Diconescu, Romania??™s former foreign affairs State Secretary, told the daily newspaper Curentul.
