KYIV, March 20 – The current plan for the EU to allocate funding to Ukraine under the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) loan initiative from frozen Russian funds provides for the continuation of payments of EUR 1 billion each following month, and then in December in a single tranche the last EUR 6 billion, European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis said.
Following his visit to Kyiv, at a press conference on Thursday, he told reporters that the need for financing for this year has been covered, the EU has revised this payment schedule to help Ukraine cover the funding gap that usually occurs in January.
