KYIV, March 13 – Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov held a bilateral meeting on Thursday, during which the 28th package of military aid to Ukraine worth EUR 200 million was announced, in addition, the ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on defense cooperation between the defense departments of the two countries, the press service of the Finnish Defense Ministry reports.
"Three years of war against Russia have made the Ukrainian armed forces one of the strongest in Europe. At the same time, the country has gained extensive experience in defending against Russia. Therefore, it is obvious that, developing our own defense, we must carefully listen to the lessons of Ukraine and build on their experience," Hakkanen said.
