KYIV, March 12 – The European Union confirms plans to provide EUR 30.6 billion in funding to Ukraine this year and is ready to accelerate it if necessary, European Commissioner for the Economy Valdis Dombrovskis said at an ECOFIN press conference on Tuesday.

“This year, the EU is already mobilized to provide ?30.6 billion in financing to Ukraine. The Commission stands ready to frontload financing under these instruments if that would be required by Ukraine's financing needs,” he said.
