KYIV, Feb 21 – Ukrainian enterprises increased their consumption of rolled metal in January of this year by 2.16 times compared to the same period last year, to 297,100 tons.

According to the press release of the Ukrmetalurgprom association, 103,000 tons, or 34.67% of the domestic market for rolled metal consumption, were imported during this period.

According to Ukrmetalurgprom, in January, metallurgical enterprises produced 480,200 tons of rolled metal (7.2% higher than in January 2024), of which, according to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, about 286,100 tons, or 59.6%, were exported. In January 2024, the share of exports was 88.4% (400,300 tons with a total production of rolled metal products of 453,000 tons).
