KYIV, Feb 17 - The American Westinghouse has completed the first stage of the GAP analysis of power units No. 3 and No. 4 of Khmelnytsky NPP, which will allow ensuring their safety at the level of "3+" if these facilities are completed, Energoatom reported citing its head Petro Kotin on Monday.
"Westinghouse is conducting a safety analysis and will add systems that will bring the power unit to the level of modern technology "3+". Today, this is the world's leading technology, so with the addition of these systems, the third and fourth units will correspond to the safety level that will be at the fifth and sixth units with AP1000 (Westinghouse reactors)," said Kotin.
