KYIV, Feb 5 - Kyiv sees enormous potential, especially after the cessation of Russian gas transit through Ukraine, in the possibility of purchasing LNG gas from the United States, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.
"The range of common interests and mutually beneficial cooperation is not limited to these resources [natural gas]. For example, we see enormous potential, especially after the cessation of Russian gas transit through Ukraine, in the possibility of purchasing LNG gas from the United States. You know that Ukraine has extremely powerful underground gas storage facilities, and here we have common points for mutually beneficial cooperation and simultaneous strengthening of Europe's energy security," he said at a joint press conference with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy in Kyiv on Wednesday.
