KYIV, Jan 28 – Representatives of Ukraine's Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Economy, State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety (SSTC NRS), and major Ukrainian energy companies took part in a series of initial meetings last week in Kraków, Poland. These discussions were part of the U.S. State Department's Foundational Infrastructure for Responsible use of SMR Technology (FIRST) Program.
According to information on the SSTC NRS website, the program encompasses three interconnected projects: Clean Fuels, Clean Steel, and Phoenix.
