MOSCOW, Feb. 1 ??“ Ukraine suggested to merge its natural gas pipeline network with natural gas and oil producing assets in Russia in what may become ???a revolutionary??? deal, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

The proposal apparently anticipates merging Ukrainian gas transportation assets with Russian gas extraction assets eventually splitting the assets 50-50 between Ukrainian and Russian interests.
