KYIV, Jan 10 - Minister of National Defense of Canada Bill Blair announced CAD440 million in military aid to Ukraine at the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (the Ramstein format).

"Ammunition remains one of Ukraine’s highest priorities and today’s announcement includes the contribution of $200 million to the Czech initiative to procure and deliver large-caliber ammunition for Ukraine. This contribution comes in addition to over $53 million announced last year for the Czech initiative, which has already provided approximately 11,500 rounds of large-caliber ammunition to Ukraine. An additional $50 million will also be made available for procurement of various calibers of ammunition from Canadian industry," reads the report.
