KIEV, Jan. 31 ??“ The share of foreign capital in the statutory capital of Ukrainian banks grew from 19.5% to 27.6% in 2006, National Bank of Ukraine First Deputy Governor Anatoliy Shapovalov said.

Foreign investors retain their interest in the Ukrainian banking system and Shapovalov predicted that the foreign capital share will continue to grow.
